Farah Cadour

Dr. Farah Cadour is an assistant professor of radiology at the cardiothoracic division at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging, University of Toronto. She did her training in Marseille (France) in radiology and cardiovascular and interventional imaging. This was followed by a 2-month clinical fellowship in cardiac imaging in Amsterdam University Hospital (The Netherlands) through the European School of Radiology-Bracco grant. She then pursued a cardiothoraic imaging fellowship at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging, University of Toronto, after which she joined the team as assistant professor.

Dr Cadour started her research early in her residency with a particular focus on cardiac imaging, followed by a PhD on cardiac MRI biomarkers in cardiomyopathy at University of Rouen-Normandie (France). She is the author of numerous book chapters and publications in world-renowned journals that have been honored by different awards, including 2023 Gerard Pohost award for Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance best manuscript of the year for her work on nonischemic dilated cardiomyopathy. She is also reviewer and part of editorial commitees of several world-renowned journals, and is passionate about teaching, to pass on her knowledge to the younger in a fun and friendly work environment.

I am interested in implementing cardiovascular imaging technique (both MRI and CT) and their derived biomarkers in diagnosis, prognosis, but also prediction and risk-stratification of any type of cardiovascular disease.
