Dr. Barragan-Leal is a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist at UHN/MSH. He completed his medical (2011), radiology (2017), and interventional radiology training (2018) in Bogotá, Colombia, where we worked as an IR staff in Hospital Universitario Fundacion Santa Fe de Bogota, followed by a Master of Science from the University of Zaragoza, Spain in 2021. In 2023, he finished his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Toronto; since then is part of the UMIT – IR staff.

His clinical focus includes oncologic interventions (ablation and TARE), non-oncologic embolization (prostate, UAE, thyroid, vascular malformations), and aortic procedures. He also has a strong interest in ultrasound-guided interventions and teaching these techniques to trainees. Dr. Barragan-Leal has received national and international recognition for his excellence in mentorship and teaching.
