Cardiac imaging including cardiac CT and MRI; environmental exposures and sustainability; cardiomyopathies
Dr. Kate Hanneman is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Research at the University of Toronto and a cardiac radiologist at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging. She completed medical school and diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Toronto, a cardiovascular imaging fellowship at Stanford University, and a Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. She has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles and leads an active research program focused on environmental sustainability and improving health outcomes for patients using cardiac imaging. She holds multiple leadership roles, including Associate Editor with Radiology, Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging, the Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, and the Canadian Association of Radiologists Journal.
