My academic interests are in the areas of stroke management and improving stroke care delivery through regional organized care. I have been involved in the implementation and monitoring of many clinical trials in stroke.

I am currently on the board of the Canadian Stroke Consortium and I am a theme leader in the Canadian Stroke Network. I am the co-principal investigator of the Registry of the Canadian Stroke Network and I founded Ontario's Telestroke program. I am currently the Director of the University Health Network's Stroke Program and the Medical Director of the Toronto West Stroke Region.
