My research is in the area of innovative technology for dementia care, with a focus on the development and clinical evaluation of technology for the monitoring of changes in health status and neuropsychiatric symptoms in dementia. Much of my research takes place in the setting of the Specialized Dementia unit at Toronto Rehab or in partnership with long-term care homes. I have received several grants to study the implementation of new technology for dementia care in the long-term care setting. My research is highly interdisciplinary and collaborative, and draws upon my knowledge and experience in clinical dementia care and my clinical research experience.
