I use my expertise in health services research, nursing education and practice to address health workforce issues. My program of applied research is responsive to health workforce needs and focuses on (1) improving health workforce planning through recruitment and retention, (2) co-developing supportive strategies for vulnerable segments of the nursing workforce (e.g., internationally educated nurses, registered practical nurses and advanced practice nurses), and (3) enhancing scholarship capacity for health professions, as a retention strategy.
