Our Goal
The goal of the Division of Vision Science is to understand the basic mechanisms of vision in health and disease with a goal of eliminating blindness and impaired vision in humans.
Who We Are
We are a group of basic scientists (Ph.D.) and clinician scientists (M.D.). Some of us work on biological, cellular and molecular genetic bases of visual function and its development. Others of us work with patients with blinding eye diseases (glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration) to assess the physical and psychophysical changes that occur with the disease process and their treatments.
