Dr. Shelly-Anne Li is the Program Director for research and community engagement at The Al & Malka Green Artists’ Health Centre, University Health Network. She is also appointed as Assistant Professor at the Department of Family & Community Medicine, University of Toronto. She is an Associate Editor for Springer’s Global Implementation and Research Applications journal; and Guideline International Network's inaugural journal, Clinical and Public Health Guidelines.

Dr. Li applies implementation frameworks and theories to ensure that research evidence has tangible and lasting impact on healthcare practices and policies. In addition, Dr. Li is particularly interested in guideline development and implementation, research methods, community and patient engagement, and arts-integrated healthcare education. At the Centre, Dr. Li develops patient-centered interventions and programs that address the social determinants of artists’ health, uses research to facilitate healthcare access in the artist community, and educates healthcare professionals and policymakers about the unique health needs of artists.
