The current focus of our research group is directed to identifying risk factors, managing perioperative care and reducing short and long term adverse outcomes after cardiac surgery. Our main area of research concentrates on brain injury and cardiac surgery, as well as perioperative coagulopathy and thrombosis identifying etiology, pathophysiology, prevention and treatment.
