Congratulations to TGHRI Clinical Researcher Dr. Joanne Bargman, who received the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award in Peritoneal Dialysis from the Annual Dialyses Conference. The award will be presented at the 35th Annual Dialysis Conference on January 31, 2015 in New Orleans, where Dr. Bargman will deliver the keynote address.
The award recognizes Dr. Bargman's leadership and contributions to the field of peritoneal dialysis—an area that strives to improve the lives of those with severe chronic kidney disease. Her achievements include over 200 peer-reviewed publications; more than 650 international lectures, co-authorship of the "Chronic Kidney Disease" chapter in Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine, 17-19th Editions; various teaching awards; and the 2013 Donald Seldin Award for excellence in nephrology from the National Kidney Foundation.
