My research currently focuses on using oscillometry in different clinical cohorts. We promote oscillometry for patient monitoring post-lung transplant and have demonstrated the higher sensitivity of oscillometry vs. spirometry in detecting acute rejection following lung transplantation.

Current research projects in my lab apply oscillometry in conjunction with pulmonary function tests to evaluate 1) post-lung transplant allograft monitoring and rejection, 2) idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and prognosis, 3) prevalence of COPD in heart failure patients, 4) long-term pulmonary sequelae in COVID-19 survivors, and 5) the impact of vaping on lung function.
