My lab works closely with our clinical collaborators to obtain minimally invasive, fine-needle aspiration biopsies to investigate mechanisms of pathogenesis using state-of-the-art single cell technologies. My lab also performs immunological monitoring for new HBV drugs during Phase II clinical trials. Combined, these two research arms integrate translational and clinical research studies to drive our investigations into human liver pathogenesis.
