Nisha Ganeswaren has recently joined the Office of Research Trainees (ORT) department as a Coordinator.

Nisha has had diverse work experiences at several Toronto health research organizations. In 2012, she started working in the Orthopedic research department at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, while simultaneously completing her undergraduate degree. In this position, she spent a considerable amount of time recruiting patients to different studies, developing and improving study policies and assisting with the initiation of new studies. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree in April 2015, Nisha started working at Mount Sinai Hospital as part of the GEM Project, a one- of- a- kind international study on Crohn’s disease. In this role, she supported the set-up and initiation of the study in a variety of different countries such as Sweden, and Australia. Furthermore, she was also an active member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee and facilitated with creating and updating safety policies to meet the demanding needs of a growing hospital.

Nisha has completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Health Studies from the University of Toronto. She is currently in the process of getting her Certified Clinical Research Professionals designation. As the ORT Coordinator, she will strive to ensure that all research trainees have the knowledge and tools to achieve their full potential during their time at UHN.

Please join us in welcoming Nisha to the ORT and UHN!
