Dr. Clarke honoured as recipient of 2016 Early Career Award from the Canadian Pain Society.

PM Cancer Clinical Research Unit member Dr. Hance Clarke was presented with the 2016 Early Career Award from the Canadian Pain Society (CPS).
Dr. Clarke’s research program explores perioperative interventions and their impact on functional recovery after surgery and on the development of persistent chronic post-surgical pain.
The award recognizes his research achievements as well as his dedication to patient care—specifically his development of the world’s first transitional pain program, which aims to stop pain from becoming chronic after surgery, at the Toronto General Hospital.
The CPS is the Canadian chapter of the International Association for the study of Pain and represents Canadian scientists and health professionals who have a special interest in pain research and management.
