Dr. Taymaa May is a Gynecologic Oncologist at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. She received her medical degree from McGill University in Montreal and went on to do residency at the University of Toronto during which time she completed the Clinician Investigator Program and received a Master’s of Science degree from the Institute of Medical Science. Dr. May completed a three-year fellowship in Gynecology Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/ Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Dr. May is an Associate Professor and a surgeon scientist at the University of Toronto. She is the medical director of the UHN ovarian cancer serum biobank and a member of the international Ovarian Cancer Association Consortium. Dr. May’s research interests are in the fields of serous ovarian malignancies and fertility preservation in young patients with cervical cancer. Dr. May’s research focuses on the advancement of surgical innovation and translational research in ovarian and cervical cancers.
