Our lab studies the mechanisms of cancer development in hormone-producing glands (endocrine tumours) including those arising from the thyroid, pituitary, endocrine pancreas and adrenal glands.

We are interested in the mechanisms leading to the transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of tumour-derived growth and survival signals. Our focus is on members of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family of receptor tyrosine kinases which play an important role in sporadic and familial forms of these diseases. Signalling emphasis is on non-classical heterophilic interactions with cell adhesion molecules.
