Nancy Salbach, MSc, PhD

Dr. Salbach is a Heart and Stroke Foundation Mid-Career Investigator. The goal of her research program is to improve balance, mobility and exercise participation in older adults with chronic health conditions, particularly stroke. To achieve this goal, Dr. Salbach develops resources and strategies that make it easier for rehabilitation professionals to use high-quality assessment and treatment approaches. Dr. Salbach also develops community exercise programs incorporating healthcare-community partnerships that are safe and beneficial for people living with balance and mobility limitations. Dr. Salbach works closely with clinicians, educators, provincial stroke systems and community organizations to make sure that her research is relevant to healthcare and community settings.
