Dr. Abrahamyan's research interests are in comparative effectiveness research and health technology assessment using observational studies, clinical trials, systematic reviews, surveys, economic evaluation studies, and use of administrative databases to answer health services research questions. Currently her main focus is in congenital heart disease interventions. She is also interested and has experience in health services research in heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases, obstructive sleep apnea, COPD and rare diseases. Her research group is currently working towards establishing a national research network and a prospective registry for congenital heart disease interventions in Canada to answer high priority research questions, embracing innovative methods and new technological solutions that will provide excellent research and training opportunities for students and fellows.
