John T Granton, BSc, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Granton is a staff physician at UHN, serving on the multi-disciplinary intensive care intensive care unit at the Toronto General Hosptial that specializes in the management of organ transplant recipients, advanced respiratory failure and sepsis, and supports advanced medical and surgical programmes.

He is also Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension programme at the Toronto General Hospital and conducts research through TGHRI. Dr. Granton's clinical research focuses on lung injury, shock, thrombosis, and pulmonary vascular disease.

Specific research interests include:

  • Pulmonary hypertension
  • Congenital heart disease
  • Exercise testing
  • Heart-lung interactions
