The other work: Lynn Ling X Li. (1999). Knowledge-based problem solving: An approach to health assessment. Expert Systems with Applications, 16(1):33-42.

The work of Ms. Li copies verbatim much of the background and formalization for case-based reasoning prevsiously presented by Jurisica and co-authors. In particular:

• Her introduction to CBR is a verbatim copy of that in the Jurisica paper;
• Her formalization of the notion of a case, a context and satisfiability are exactly as presented in the Jurisica paper. Note that this approach is unique to their work (and has also been presented in earlier papers by the same co-authors);
• She has produced a very similar figure (mainly changes related to a different domain) to one in the Jurisica paper.
