This Division brings together scientists interested in the study of the effectiveness of health care interventions as well those concerned with the evaluation of the most efficient use of health resources.
This includes studies of the effectiveness of diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions (including trials) as well as studies of the optimum delivery of health services to specific groups of patients.
The evaluation of the efficiency of the delivery of health interventions includes cost-effectiveness studies of individual treatments or diagnostic strategies or comparison of alternative programs or health services for the care of patients.
