Division of Genomic Medicine

The Division of Genomic Medicine is comprised of investigators seeking to define the genetic basis for disease.

Research in this division includes identification and characterization of disease genes, development of in vivo or in vitro model systems to investigate the genetic pathophysiology of disease and the development of strategies for translating genetic information to the prediction of disease susceptibility; identification of new drug targets; definition of genetic-environmental interactions; and gene-based diagnostics.

The goal of this division is to provide the opportunity for increasing genetic knowledge and transferring this information to advance the practice of medicine.
