SHSY5Y cells loaded
with Fura2 and treated with 20 µM carbachol. Movie shows DIC image
followed by fluorescence image (380 nm excitation), then a dual
channle (340 nm/ 380 nm excitation) ratiometric timecourse.
After 30 seconds the cells are treated with the IP3 mobilising
agonist, carbachol (20 µM). Several cells respond with an increase
in the fura-2 ratio, indicating an elevation of cytosolic calcium.
